BE IT NEW OPERATING SYSTEMS, BROWSERS, TABLETS, SMARTPHONES, LAPTOPS, CAMERAS, E-BOOK READERS OR OFF-THE-ROAD TECHNOLOGIES, THIS SECTION AIMS TO NAVIGATE THROUGH THE IMMENSELY INTRICATE MAZE OF TECHNOLOGIES THAT BOMBARD OUR IMAGINATION EVERYDAY TO BRING TO YOU CRISP REVIEWS OF THE MOST SIZZLING GADGETS THAT ARE MAKING THEIR MARK IN THE INDIAN MARKET, OR IF THEY AREN'T LAUNCHED YET, HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO DO SO.
You don't even need to touch this one to realise that it is different. One look at its classic design is enough. With the top and bottom made of magnesium alloy, a leather finish body and manual metallic dials, you would be instantly reminded of an era bygone. A. Rajkumar, Country General Manager, Fujifilm India, comments to TN, “X100 is for photography enthusiasts who have grudgingly accepted the digital camera revolution, but still long for that analog experience.” The key differentiator is the hybrid viewfinder, which combines the bright frame optical view finder with the electronic viewfinder. It is much cheaper in comparison to the Leica cameras (X1/M9), whose features it emulates. But from a professional photographer's point of view, the lack of the interchangeable lens feature is a disadvantage. Nevertheless, it does make a lot of sense for the purpose of candid photography.
